Shift throw between gears on our new 2007 and up Spec V short shifter is reduced by 33% for a vastly improved shift feel.
This is a transmission mounted short shift adapter that relocates the shifter cable to achieve a 33% throw reduction.
The TWM short shifter adapter is CNC machined of aluminium and stainless steel for maximum durability.
We have also designed a special cable bracket spacer to maintain the correct orientation of the shifter cable because of the relocated pivot point.
With the short shifter adapter also comes a specially designed tool to help disconnect the shifter cable from the
stock pivot arm. Removing the shifter cable by hand is difficult, and prying it off with screwdrivers or a pry
bar is risky for the cable. The special tool TWM has designed is simple and effective
because it applies even pressure to the cable and removes it straight upward.
